About Patsy's Dollhouse
The Tortoise and Hare RV park in Orderville, Utah, where "The Doll House" is located, was purchased in 1980 by Patsy Blackburn. Patsy ran only the trailer park until 1999 when she got interested in doll making. She wanted to create her own porcelain Barbie doll for dresses she was crocheting. What started as a simple attempt soon became a full time passion - her "hobby" quickly escalated from one simple doll to hundreds of custom porcelain doll designs.
Patsy (r) is competent in all aspects of doll making, from the raw slip to the finished product
Her next step was to help others who wanted to make dolls, and she now teaches regular doll-making classes in Southern Utah, creates her own custom molds, and sells a complete line of greenware and doll parts.
From the collection of molds Patsy owns, literally hundreds of different dolls can be made by mixing and matching parts.
